During the month of May, the Outreach Committee is asking that we give cash for the food shelf. This is because a 14 ounce can in the grocery store costs anywhere from a $1 to $5. But, with just $1, the pantry can buy seven 14-ounce cans. More food for less money just seems to make sense.
