First Lutheran Community Park
We are thrilled to be “off and running” on the “First Lutheran Community Park” revitalization project. We hope you’ll consider “playing” with us and contributing in a way that is most meaningful and FUN to YOU!
First Lutheran Church has long hosted a community park that has served as a safe and open space for the young and young at heart to gather, play, and grow together as a community. It is an open space for ALL to enjoy. Situated right off the city walking and biking path and alongside other recreational equipment – for example a community Gaga Pit, Pickleball Court, Basketball Court, etc. – has made this park a popular gathering area for our community.
The current playground itself needs repair. Thus, the First Lutheran Church and community members are in the process of revitalizing this area – named the First Lutheran Community Park to represent its use among and value to the community. Our goal is to continue being a safe and fun space for community members to gather.
Based on research across the industry, we have set a goal of raising $100,000 to complete this project. To date we have raised just over half of that need, and we’re looking for partners like YOU to help us to the finish line.

With these initial funds, we’ve secured and are in the process of purchasing the two larger pieces of equipment – Monkey Business & King Kong sets which together will accommodate over 80 kids – and have been blessed to acquire these items at a discounted price at almost half the original cost, plus FREE shipping for these two items.
Our team is working to raise the additional funds needed to purchase the remaining equipment, installation, and ground cover with a goal to have enough funds to pay for the installation and ground cover of the two main pieces by late Spring 2023. Our team will continue fundraising for the additional pieces to build out the First Lutheran Community Park as planned. All equipment is ADA compliant and comes with a lifetime warranty.
