First Lutheran Children, Youth & Family (CYF)
"Cultivating faith experiences that positively impact & sustain for a lifetime"
On March 21 the kids tasted tears (salt water) as part of learning story of Jesus crying over the death of his friend Lazarus. We are working on a song to sing in worship on Palm Sunday. And we made cards to send to a child from school who faces health challenges and is having surgery soon.
This jingle helps remind us to be generous and have faith that God always provides what we need.
Confirmation Students with some High School Youth and a couple parents helping bag candy for Operation Christmas. It was beautiful teamwork!
Our Confirmation Students have been having fun learning “The Books of the New Testament” to song! Aren’t they stars?
Photo and comments from Micah, FLC High School Youth Group – The bell tower represents the start of worship because it chimes before every service. You can hear the chimes in the surrounding area and know that church is about to start.
Photo and story from Micah, FLC High School Youth Group – We enter the church family through baptism. We watch people become part of the First Lutheran Family. It’s a huge part of our Christian journey because it’s the start.
Photo and Story by Warren, FLC High School Youth Group – “I like the organ because it makes music that people sing to. In my mind singing is a big part of worshiping God. I always loved singing songs at church camp when I went there.”
