I have a smartphone and every now and then I install an app to make the phone do more of things that I want it to do. One of the big things about the Christian faith is that it installs a conscience. A conscience is an awareness that there are others and they matter too. My actions have a direct and an indirect effect on the well being of others and I need to use that awareness to repent and improve. A Christian is not allowed to lack empathy, sympathy or compassion
Let us pray: Father in Heaven, stir up in me a conscientious relationship with other people and with Your creation. In Jesus’s Name, Amen.
