GIVING IN LOVING MEMORY

Honor a loved one’s legacy through a memorial or honorary gift to First Lutheran Church.  Your gift helps meet meaningful needs of the congregation that are outside the regular budget.

  • Gifts may be designated toward one of several special areas approved by the Memorial Committee
  • Or, you may give an undesignated gift to be used where it is most needed.
  • The Memorial Committee, elected by the congregation, faithfully stewards these gifts.

The First Lutheran Church Endowment Fund is a long-term giving opportunity that helps sustain the mission and ministry of our church for future generations.

The tradition of charitable giving is as old as Lutheranism itself.  During the Reformation, Martin Luther called upon people to establish a “common chest” from which food, clothing and other necessities could be distributed to people in need.
