Sunday, September 28 – Rally Around the First Lutheran Family (birth to 100), 9:30am-noon
- intergenerational worship participation
- intergenerational game participation
- parent sessions with Julie & Amanda
- Food will be served & families will leave with a fun gift!
Wednesday, Oct. 22 – “Anchoring” small groups & mission
Sunday, October 26 – 9:30am Worship with Confirmation of 9th grade – 6th-8th grade usher
Wednesday, October 29 – Discover how God uniquely equipped you (talents)
Wednesday, November 5 – Prep chemo blanket lab
Wednesday, November 12 – Tie blankets for chemo patients
Wednesday, November 19 – Discuss chemo blanket lab
Wednesday, November 26 – no session – Thanksgiving Break
Wednesday, December 3 – Prep Operation Christmas Gifts (lab – shop this week)
Wednesday, December 10 – Wrap gifts/discuss & prep Operation Christmas in general
Sunday, December 14 – Christmas Pageant in 9:30am Worship Service – Confirmation Youth usher
Wednesday, December 17 – Operation Christmas box assembly, fruit sorting, discussion
(8th grade go shopping for remainder gifts needed)
Wednesday, December 24 – Christmas Eve Services at 4:00 & 7:00pm
Wednesday, December 31 – no session – Christmas Break
Epiphany – Watch for a special activity during this season of God’s light and presence.
Wednesday, January 7 – Prep for Lutheran World Relief (LWR) School Bags
Wednesday, January 14 – Lab to sew school bags & secure funds to purchase supplies
Sunday, January 18 – Confirmation Youth will have a part in this 9:30am worship service.
Wednesday, January 21 – Lab to sew school bags & secure funds to purchase supplies
Wednesday, January 28 – Finish sewing school bags
Wednesday, February 4 – Fill school bags, pray over, ready for shipping, discussion
Wednesday, February 11 – Session with mentors before Lent begins
Wednesdays, February 18 – March 25 (Ash Wednesday & Lent) THEME: Relationships
Confirmation Students attend worship at 6pm with their mentors and parents. Immediately following this shortened worship service, students and mentors move to the fellowship hall to discuss the message heard in worship using prepared questions and activities. (Parents are welcome and encouraged to join them.) This will wrap up around 7:15pm each week.
