Candles for Epiphany can be brought at any time. Epiphany begins January 10/11. Candles should be white and unscented. Any size and shape welcome.

Operation Christmas: Blessings and thank you to all who have contributed to this important ministry helping 240 families this holiday season. Thank you to the cookie bakers who were so generous filling boxes delivered to 60 people who are homebound or in a care center. Almost 1,000 people in our community have benefited from this outreach and your generosity. We will continue to collect hats, mittens, and socks through January 5 for the local schools. Thank you for keeping us and the ones we serve in your prayers.

When you purchase LWR Farmers Market Coffee, coffee farmers get a strong upfront price for their coffee beans. And when these beans are sold, they share in the profit from the sales. you can help coffee farmers by purchasing coffee here at First Lutheran for $10/bag – medium roast and dark roast (grind or bean), and also decaf or hazelnut. Thank you!

The December-January OUTREACH initiative at First Lutheran Church will be winter outerwear including coats, boots, snow pants for youth ages 4-11 (4K-5th grade). Outerwear donations can be placed in the labeled collection box in the narthex, before being distributed to area elementary schools including Winter, Hayward, LCO.
