The December-January OUTREACH initiative at First Lutheran Church will be winter outerwear including coats, boots, snow pants for youth ages 4-11 (4K-5th grade). Outerwear donations can be placed in the labeled collection box in the narthex, before being distributed to area elementary schools including Winter, Hayward, LCO.

Operation Christmas Begins! First Lutheran, Hayward United Methodist and Ascension Episcopal Churches are helping 240 families in the Hayward area enjoy a food basket and children’s gifts. How to help? Donate cash, buy & wrap gifts, donate hats, socks & mittens, volunteer to sign up to work, bake cookies, and keep this ministry in your prayers. Activities will kick into high gear when the call center opens on Monday (11/24) where we will take requests for recipients of these gifts. In the narthex find the bulletin board with tags for children’s gifts. Cash donations are appreciated to cover food and gift costs – please identify as for Operation Christmas.
