Stewardship – Message to Members

2nd quarter message to congregational members

July 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, First Lutheran Church began a stewardship awareness campaign with the theme “Giving Changes Lives.” In winter, we had opportunities to listen to inspiring stewardship “temple talks” from members Kris Neuman, Tom Jolivette, and Ed Anderson.

As individual members moving through another year, it is important that we continue to personally reflect on our “Why” and “How” of stewardship and what this means for each of us. Being mindful of our giving, either financially or in service, changes our lives and the lives of those we serve. Giving generously reminds us of who we are and whose we are, conveying our gratitude to God. Giving fosters a profound and positive impact on those we serve.

On a personal note, as you continue to reflect on your stewardship throughout the year, please consider how you use God’s gifts, as you respond to God’s call to serve and love your neighbor.

Thanks for your diligent efforts in making a difference at First Lutheran, the greater Hayward area, and in the world!

1 Peter 4:10: Use your gifts to serve others as stewards of God’s grace
